The Department of Thoraco-Abdominal Oncology of the State Institution “RONC” of the Ministry of Health of the Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan is a leading center in the Republic of Tajikistan specializing in surgical and combined treatment of malignant tumors of the chest and abdominal organs. Main types of surgeries: Abdominal surgeries:

  • Splenosparing gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection and various types of jejunogastrectomy.
  • Proximal and distal gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection.
  • Subtotal esophageal resection with gastric stalk plastic surgery and lymph node dissection.
  • Laparoscopic gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection.
  • Laparoscopic surgeries on the liver and pancreas, including resections and other interventions.
  • Liver resection and hemihepatectomy.
  • Gastropancreatoduodenal resection.
  • Distal subtotal pancreatectomy.
  • Removal of inferior vena cava tumors with plastic surgery.
  • Removal of primary and recurrent retroperitoneal, gastrointestinal stromal tumors and adrenal tumors, including laparoscopic surgeries.
  • Combined surgeries with simultaneous removal of several organs, including resection and plastic surgery of the main vessels
  • Treatment with the PIPAC (Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy) method for peritoneal tumors.

Thoracic surgeries:

  • Video-assisted thoracoscopic and open removal of part of the lung: sublobar resection, lobectomy, bilobectomy, pneumonectomy with circular resection of the tracheal bifurcation, lymph node dissection.
  • Video-assisted thoracoscopic and open surgeries on the pleura (resections, pleurectomy) for malignant processes.
  • Video-assisted thoracoscopic and open surgeries to remove mediastinal tumors, including thymomas, echinococcal cysts, bronchogenic cysts, neurinomas, sarcomas, germ cell tumors.
  • Surgeries on the trachea for tumors and cicatricial stenosis: circular resection of the trachea, tracheoplasty.
  • Resection of the superior vena cava for tumors with subsequent plastic surgery.
  • Thoracic and open surgeries for esophageal cancer with simultaneous plastic surgery of the esophagus with a gastric stalk or colon.
  • Resection of the chest wall for tumors and metastases (in the ribs, superior aperture).
