Department of Morphological Diagnostics of Human Tumors

A. About the department:

The Department of Morphological Diagnostics of Human Tumors of the State Institution “RONC” of the Ministry of Health of the Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan is the leading and oldest department in the Republic of Tajikistan specializing in the morphological diagnostics of tumor and precancerous diseases in humans. Many years of experience, a highly professional team and modern laboratory technologies allow us to accurately and efficiently diagnose diseases, meeting international standards.

B. Main areas of activity of the department:

• The Department of Morphological Diagnostics of Human Tumors conducts studies of biopsy and surgical material for tumor and precancerous lesions of various localizations;
• The specialists of the department carry out a lot of work on reviewing micropreparations from all over the Republic of Tajikistan and Central Asian countries;
• Urgent intraoperative histological and cytological examination allows clinicians to immediately choose the tactics of treating the patient;
• In 2023, the DB BIOTECH immunohistochemical laboratory was opened at the department, where precise diagnostics of tumor and precancerous diseases of various localizations are carried out.
• The department also performs a bone marrow myelogram.
• The department trains clinical morphologists and laboratory technicians for medical institutions throughout the republic.
